About Our Clinic

Social Thinking-Stevens Creek is located on Stevens Creek Blvd in sunny San Jose, CA. We are conveniently close to three freeways (I-280, I-880, and Highway 17) and serve clients from all over the Bay Area. Through our online therapy sessions, we are able to work with clients across the state of California.

We are a neurodiversity-affirming speech-language pathology private practice specializing in social cognition. We prioritize helping clients meet their self-identified social goals. Our services are designed for people of all neurotypes as everyone can benefit from support to navigate the social world. Our work is informed by our years of clinical expertise, our clients’ input, as well as autistic and other neurodivergent voices in our community. We believe in connection over compliance and that collaboration is key to a successful relationship with our clients and their families.

We are licensed by Michelle Garcia Winner, MA, CCC-SLP, the founder of Social Thinking®. She opened the first clinic, The Center for Social Thinking, in 1998 to provide services for people with social learning differences. Her common-sense teaching approach (now called the Social Thinking® Methodology) helped her clients develop social competencies in a way no other program had done before – and word spread. Her client base grew quickly and so did the demand for information, training, and products to help serve people worldwide. To meet these growing demands clinics and offices dedicated to teaching the treatment frameworks, concepts, and strategies within the Social Thinking® Methodology were opened in San Jose, CA - Social Thinking-Stevens Creek - and Sudbury, MA - Social Thinking Boston. Each clinic is individually owned and operated.

“The methods and curriculum used at Social Thinking-STEVENS CREEK have been A lifesaver for both our boys. THEY go out of their way to help us understand how to continue helping our kids at home. We have been with Social Thinking for more than 6 years and it is worth every penny. our kids are learning life skills to help them become independent, which for us is the most important thing. As a result of their therapies, our kids are more adjusted both at home and at school. We don’t know where we’d be without them.”
